Make a list and check it twice, then go back a third time and see what adults can be eliminated to save money and prevent extra Christmas credit card debt. Does everyone on the list really need an expensive gift? Probably not. Kids and youths are important, put them at the top of the list and set a budget amount to spend. Stick to a plan and shop for sales to save even more and further reduce Christmas credit card debts. It takes some thought and effort but can save you a lot of money not to mention reduce being in debt after Christmas. For adults on the list, avoid charging on credit cards and be creative. Have an adult night of fun and fellowship and have an ornament exchange activity or adult gag gift for fun. Tell adults that you are spending more on kids and reducing your adult gift giving, or simply let members of the family know that this Christmas is just about kids and not adults.
