* Review credit card offers for the lowest interest rate card for the longest time.

* Cash back cards can be great, use the cash back toward the payment.

* Apply for credit cards that fit your credit type to increase approval rate.

* Consider the Rewards that cards offer and choose rewards that you need,

* Pay the balance in full by the due date to avoid interest fees.

* Make sure you know what the late fees or over credit limit fees are and avoid getting them,

* Revolving or store cards can cost more in interest rates, consider transferring the balance to a low intro credit card and pay off the balance fast during the introductory period.

* Apply for a debit card and use it instead of a credit card.
